Our Smoked Paprika is sweet and mild. It adds a fabulous smoky flavour to any dish.
There are two main producers of Smoked Paprika, Hungary and Spain. Ours is the Spanish variety and it is made by gently smoking dried peppers over an open flame before grounding. The smoked oak gives it a fabulous smell. It should be noted that it doesn’t add a real hot heat to a dish as the Cayenne Pepper will do but instead it adds a pleasing warmth.
Smoked paprika is wonderful when added to an omelette but we love to sprinkle it over a Camembert before baking in the oven!
