Pine Kernels are the seeds of particular pine trees found in many regions throughout the world. Our Organic Pine Kernels come from China. Growing is a lengthy process as the trees only start to produce pine cones when they are around 20 years old. The pine cones take around 18 months to produce seed. After harvesting, the seed needs a further outer coat removing. The kernel is the core of the seed with its hard, outer nut shell removed.
