Sultanas or raisins… what’s the difference? They are in essence very similar but usually a raisin is a grape that has been dried naturally whereas a sultana is a grape that has been dipped in oil before drying.
These lovely golden coloured, organic sultanas are made from dried, seedless white grapes. Sultanas tend to be plumper and sweeter than raisins. They are used extensively in recipes using dried fruits.
Sultanas are used in many typical British recipes for scones, hot cross buns, fruit cake and bread and butter pudding. You will also find them a great addition to curries and chutneys.
Ingredients: 99.7% Organic sultanas, 0.3% Organic sunflower oil
