Cacao Nibs are the purest form of chocolate. They are wonderful when used in many different savoury and sweet recipes as well as being are full of nutrients and vitamins. Cacao is stronger and more bitter than cocoa.
Raw Cacao Nibs provide dark chocolate bitter flavours. These unroasted Cacao Nibs are made by peeling and fermenting white cocoa beans. They are then cut into pieces (nibbed). This process enhances the flavour of the chocolate and gives the nibs their dark colour. They are naturally high in protein, fibre and healthy fats whilst being low in sugar. They are a great source of iron so particularly good for those on vegetarian or vegan diets.
We love to sprinkle crushed Cacao Nibs over vanilla ice cream.
