Ground cumin is a fantastically versatile spice. It will add a wonderful depth of flavour to beans, pulses and other vegetarian ingredients.
Ground Cumin has a slightly sweet, nutty flavour. It is a mainstay of curry dishes and is often dry roasted with Garam Masala and Coriander to bring its flavours alive. Ground cumin is made by grinding dry roasted cumin seeds. It can be added at any time to a recipe as its flavour doesn’t need heat or time to be released, as is the case with the seeds.
