Ground Nutmeg is one of the key ingredients in pumpkin pie but it is also a fabulous addition to many soups and stews
Ground Nutmeg has a sweet woody flavour. It is made by drying the seeds from a Nutmeg Tree. These are then de-shelled before grinding. Often associated with Christmas spices, it can be used in a variety of recipes year round. It is a great addition to rice pudding and egg custard, but works well with minced beef dishes such as spaghetti bolognaise.
